Overview

We accept Minox film and Minox cameras for development, scanning and repair. Because Minox and other subminiature formats are small and often fragile, please follow the packing and declaration guidance below to avoid delays and customs issues.

Packing checklist

  • Include a printed order summary with your name, email and return address.
  • Place film cassettes in a small sealed plastic bag and then into a padded envelope or small box.
  • Pad the parcel internally to prevent movement; use bubble wrap or foam.
  • If sending a camera, remove loose accessories and secure moving parts; include any notes about the fault.

Label and paperwork

For international shipments include a commercial invoice and mark the parcel clearly. Use the wording below for customs to reduce the chance of import VAT or duties on return:

  • Declaration: "Camera/Film for repair or processing — returning to owner"
  • HS code (recommended): 9006.59
  • Declared value: technical value £10–£20 (not sale value)
  • Temporary export wording: "TEMPORARY EXPORT — REPAIR AND RETURN"

Film handling notes

  • Do not attempt to open sealed cassettes or force rewind film.
  • If film is fragile or visibly warped, note this on the order form — we may perform a test strip first.
  • Expired film: expect colour shifts and possible base fog; we will test and advise if a different process is recommended.
  • Disc and Minox cassette handling is done with format‑specific tools to avoid damage.

Payment and estimates

We inspect items on receipt and provide a written estimate. Work proceeds only after your approval. Payment methods: SEPA transfer, card on request, or PayPal where agreed.

Contact & pre‑shipping checks

If you have valuable or historic material, email photos and a short description before shipping so we can advise on packing and insurance. Include tracking number when you ship.
