Minox Camera Repairs — European Union
This page provides guidance for customers in EU member states sending
Minox cameras (Minox 35 mm or Minox 8×11 mm) to the United Kingdom for repair.
Scope of service:
MS Hobbies repairs Minox 35 mm and Minox 8×11 mm cameras only.
All repair work is carried out in the United Kingdom.
EU customs declaration
Correct customs wording is essential.
Most delays occur due to incorrect or incomplete declarations.
Please declare the shipment as follows:
- “Camera for repair – returning to UK technician”
- Declared value: £10–£20 (technical, non‑commercial value)
- HS Code: 9006.59
- “TEMPORARY EXPORT – REPAIR AND RETURN”
Where possible, repaired cameras are returned in the original packaging.
This helps demonstrate to customs authorities that the item is a
used camera returning to its owner after repair, not a new import.
EU country pages
Customers in the EU may use the dedicated country‑specific repair pages below.
These contain language‑specific notes where applicable.
Non‑EU neighbours
Customers in Switzerland should use the dedicated multilingual page below:
