Information for customers sending Minox cameras from outside the UK, EU and Switzerland.
I repair Minox 8×11, Minox 35 and VEF Riga / Minox II cameras.
International customers are welcome, and I regularly receive cameras from around the world.

If your country is not listed, you can still send your Minox — the process is the same.
Before Sending Your Camera
- Test shutter behaviour (with and without film)
- Check film advance (smooth movement)
- Check viewfinder clarity
- Test flash with the correct flash cover
- Check batteries:
- Minox 35 → PX27 Chameleon
- Minox 8×11 → Golden Power
- Clean battery contacts
- Check polarity
Important Notes
Flash Covers
Not interchangeable. A mismatched cover prevents synchronisation.
Batteries
PX27 does not fit Minox 8×11 cameras.
No Full Overhauls
I carry out targeted repairs only.
Premium Repairs — VEF Riga / Minox II
Early VEF Riga Minox cameras require specialised procedures, tight tolerances and sometimes custom‑made components.

Turnaround
2–3 weeks from arrival.
Premium VEF repairs may take longer.
Customs / Declaration (Required)
Please use the following wording on your customs form:
- « Camera for repair – returning to UK technician »
- Declared value: £10–£20 (technical, non‑commercial value)
- HS Code: 9006.59
- « TEMPORARY EXPORT – REPAIR AND RETURN »
This avoids unnecessary import charges and ensures smooth processing.
