From last week any items sent to the US will incur additional duties paid by the sender. For example, an item with £50 value with have a £5 tariff and £1.50 admin fee, a £10 item has a £1 tariff and £1.50 fee. This is for US only far on all goods, irrespective of type. The percentage is taken from the description of the good's value in the customs form. So for used cameras and lenses or anything, eBay will add the tax on automatically, and the post office will charge you when you send.
As a repair business (Minox cameras) where many of my orders go to the US, this will increase costs. Note that these tariffs are in addition to whatever the US customs will charge on arrival.
So if you declare the say £1000 value: £100 tariff and £1.50 admin charge if you use a post office. Expect FedEx, DHL, UPS to charge £10+ admin charges.
