Minox 35 mm Accessories

Reference guide to accessories for the Minox 35 mm camera system. Work in progress.

The Minox 35 mm cameras were supported by a compact range of dedicated accessories. This page documents known factory accessories using original Minox documentation where available. Additional items will be added as reference material is reviewed.


Flash units

Minox FC‑35 Electronic Flash

The Minox FC‑35 is a dedicated electronic flash unit for Minox 35 mm cameras. It mounts directly to the camera’s hot shoe and provides automatic flash exposure controlled by the camera’s exposure system.

The FC‑35 provides two automatic exposure ranges, identified as the green and red ranges. The green range is intended for shorter subject distances, while the red range is used for longer distances. A distance chart printed on the rear of the flash unit allows the user to select the appropriate range for the film speed and subject distance in use.

Compatibility

At the time of the FC‑35’s release, the Minox 35 system comprised the EL, GL and early GT‑series cameras. In practice, the FC‑35 is compatible with Minox 35 EL, GL and GT models and their variants, including the PL and PE. Later models such as the ML, MB and MDC are not compatible.
