MS Hobbies provides servicing for Minox 8×11 and Minox 35 cameras for customers outside the United Kingdom. This page outlines the process for international shipments, customs requirements, turnaround times and return arrangements.
International customers should describe the item on customs forms as used camera sent for repair. This is the correct description for temporary import for servicing and avoids unnecessary duties.
Packages should be sent using a tracked service where available. Cameras should be securely packed to protect the shutter, lens and transport mechanism.
International parcels entering the UK may be subject to customs inspection. Delays caused by customs authorities are outside our control. Cameras are not subject to import duty when correctly declared as temporary imports for repair.
Return shipments are declared as repaired camera returning to owner. Customers are responsible for any import charges applied by their own country.
International customers receive the same servicing options as UK customers:
VEF Minox (Riga) models require extended turnaround due to limited parts availability.
Turnaround times for international servicing are similar to UK servicing, but total time will depend on shipping and customs clearance.
These times exclude shipping and customs delays.
Return shipments are sent using Royal Mail International Tracked or a courier service depending on destination and value.
Please contact MS Hobbies with details of your camera, country of residence and the issue you are experiencing. You will receive confirmation of practicality, estimated cost and shipping guidance before sending your camera.
