MS Hobbies — Minox Cameras, Film & Reference

MS Hobbies is the United Kingdom’s Minox specialist workshop, supporting collectors and users since 1970. The site provides a structured reference for the Minox 8×11 and Minox 35 mm systems, together with film supply, servicing information and documentation.

Minox Communities

Minox users remain active worldwide, with long‑standing groups in the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan and online. These communities continue to exchange technical insight, historical material and practical experience.

United Kingdom

Interest in Minox cameras in the UK has historically centred on specialist dealers, collectors and individual users rather than a formal owners’ club. MS Hobbies has long provided support for Minox users in the UK and internationally. Occasional meetings have taken place, with further events under consideration.

Germany

The Minox Owners Club Germany provides an active community offering technical information, meetings and opportunities for exchange. Further information is available at the club’s official website: www.minox-owners-club.de.

Japan

The Minox Owners Club Japan supports interest in Minox 8×11 and 35 mm cameras through publications, meetings and technical exchange. Details are available at www.minoxclub.jp.

Online discussion groups

Several informal discussion groups exist on social media platforms. On Facebook, user‑run groups focus on Minox cameras, subminiature photography and related topics. These groups vary in scope and moderation and are independent of MS Hobbies. Content is contributed by individual members and may include personal opinions, historical material, technical discussion and photographs.

Minox Systems & Reference

The Minox 8×11 mm and 35 mm camera systems developed from a small number of closely related models. The model pages and the Minox Handbook provide identification guidance, dimensions and historical context.

Service and Repair

MS Hobbies has provided specialist servicing for Minox cameras since 1970. Although Minox 8×11 cameras are no longer manufactured, many remain fully functional when correctly inspected and maintained. Enquiries are accepted from the United Kingdom and overseas, including the United States. Each camera is assessed individually, with recommendations based on condition, parts availability and practical repairability. Further information on construction, typical issues and historical context can be found in the Minox Handbook.

Catalogue and Reference

The catalogue provides structured access to Minox equipment, photographic accessories, film and related services. These lists serve as historical and identification aids and are not sales inventories.

Film and Processing

Information on Minox film formats, current availability and practical handling. Film supply and processing options may vary.

Orders and Enquiries

Sales and service enquiries are handled individually. Please read the relevant pages before making contact.
