Minox Repair & Servicing
MS Hobbies provides specialist repair and servicing for Minox 8×11, Minox 35, and VEF Riga Minox cameras. All work is carried out in‑house using calm, archival methods consistent with the original manufacturing standards.
We prioritise sympathetic restoration, preservation of originality, period‑correct materials, and historically accurate procedures. Every camera is assessed individually, and all work is documented using our Minox Service Report and, where applicable, the VEF Service Supplement.
VEF Riga Minox (1938–1943)
Due to their historical significance, VEF cameras require specialist handling. We use a dedicated VEF Service Supplement to document:
- Early‑type shutter assemblies
- Hand‑fitted transport components
- Brass body construction
- Early Minostigmat lens blocks
- Wartime machining variations
Where donor parts are required, this will be noted in the report.

- Certificate of Originality (optional, for collectors)
