The only retailer in Europe to offer Disc, Minox, 110 and APS processing as an in-house service.
50 years of experience in analogue film processing, 20 years in digital scanning.
We use the best scanners and bespoke holders to get results 'better then when first printed'.
We scan films at a suitable resolution: the smaller the original the higher the PPI. From disc and 8x11 at 5400 or 6300 dpi to APS at 2400 or 1800 dpi to 110 at 2000 dpi, there is no 'one size fits all'. We try and balance the image, sharpness and exposure vs over-processing.

The complete range of Minox 35mm and 8x11mm spy cameras, all guaranteed all tested before dispatch.
From the original VEF Minox of 1938 to the final TLX made in 2008, we carry the complete 8x11 range. All tested, all serviced.
8x11 cameras are no good without fresh film: we stock new film but are planning new aluminium cassettes. We are currently testing the first prototypes now.
The 35mm range (1974 to 1998) were the smallest, lightest highest-quality compact film cameras of their day. Often imitated rarely beaten.
Minox make sports optics and binoculars for nature and conservation. and riflescopes for hunters/
See our forthccoming sections on 'Binoculars', 'Sports Optics', 'Night Vision' , and 'Trail Cameras' .
We carry new stock and a selection of older models at a good discount.
Trail (sic) cameras and night vision cameras are the most popular sellers.
M.S Hobbies is currently prototyping a new re-usable 8x11mm cassette, assemblred and made in the United Kingdom. Harkening back to the original 1938 Walter Zapp cassette, but redsigned with modern materials and technoilogies. One lesson in producing a new 8x11mm casseette is utter amazement at how this was successfully produced under war-time conditins
We have not run this as a kick-starter project as we do not know how it will end. So far, so good, but, as a lesson from Covid 19 we are making production with the shortest possible supply chain enirely in the UK.

There will be teo (2) models of cassette:
This is to allow for support of the LX 'spring' release.
The cassettes will freature top-caps with tape to attach around the esdgre of the cassettes. The inner felt, specailly made for MS Hobbies, will fit all of the inside of both film chambers. We will test with all models of camera.
Both the cassette and container will be anodised alumnium. Customers can order engravings on the case as needed.
Using modern materials and the latest CNC milling tools, a new level of precision and strength can be realoised. With plastic cassettes finite and fragile, the new Hobbies Cassettes offer a lonm-term solution for the committed Minox Photographer. The cassette will be tested in all models, we expect the VEF Minox to be most difficult to load and especially unload.
Pricing for the type 1 cassette (not LX) is expected ot be around £49. LX Cassettes are slightly more, as we have had to make a diferent cap to allow for support of the film-spring in the LX. A smart aliminium case is also included.
We have made a type 1 prototype, and are woking on the LX cap model. Inner felt has been ordered and tooling for attaching the felt. There is a minimum order we have to make with the manufactuer for econoimic production so we are taking expressions of interest..
We are not making pictures available until sales begin.
We will load all popular film types in the cassette. Cassette loading is a manual process still. If enough customers order the cassettte, we will look towards a small film loading production line.
We stock used 110 cameras and new 110 films from Lomography. We stock the cameras most suoitable for the Lomography films of today. 100 and 200 ASA.
We also stock the rare Fukkara range of 100 ASA Black and White and 400 ASa colour. The latter is interesting, as the cassette supports high-range (ASA) on the Canon, Pentax, Rollei and Minolta cameras.
The final supplies of APS film and new cameras from Nikon.
Kodak, Fuji films offered. Results are variable.

Turnaround times: two weeks, costs from £65-£200. (£200 was for a camera which had been 'self-repaired').
