Film for Minox 35mm Cameras
Using standard 35mm film in the Minox 35 series.
Film type
Minox 35 cameras use standard 35mm film in conventional cassettes. Most modern black‑and‑white and colour negative films are suitable, subject to the camera’s ISO range and metering system.
ISO settings
Different Minox 35 models offer different ISO ranges and setting methods. Some use a manual ISO dial; others rely on DX coding. Refer to the camera’s markings and controls when selecting film speed.
Loading and handling
Film loading follows standard 35mm practice: open the back, insert the cassette, thread the leader, and advance until the film is correctly engaged. Ensure the film is lying flat and properly tensioned before closing the back.
Processing
Processing can be carried out by any competent 35mm lab or by home processing. Choice of developer and process will depend on the film used and the desired result.
General notes
As with all compact cameras, careful handling of film and attention to light seals are important to avoid fogging or light leaks. If in doubt about the condition of a camera, servicing is recommended before important use.
