The Minox LX was a major improvement over the 10 year old Minox C. Better meter cell (SBC), higher shutter speed, improved ergonomics (shutter button, LED, two dials. the LX was designed for fst document copying and a take-anywhere camera.

37k LX's were made. A downward trend, as we see Minox 8x11 sales fall as 35mm sales rise. In the 1990's output dropped to around 500 a year until 1996 with the TLX. Prices staed at £100 new until 2001. .
Technical Details
1/2000th shutter speed, length similar to a B model, vastly improved electronics and a better meter when compared with the C. One quirk is that the plastic meter windows kept falling out and being ;lost. Never happened with the C and fixe don the TLX. We have replacement windows in stock.
Market Value
LX chrome cameras from £120 to £200 with black from £200 to £300. .The late 1980's-1990's saw lots of LX variants: gold, silver, platinum, ending with the TLX/CLX/LX3200 and Aviator. Same camera, different finishes and very different prices. When buying, the meter window may be missing and the shutter simply may click but may not work.
